She tried to call them, yell for them, "It’s there! Right over there!", but all her mouth was put deep in the effort to breathe. She was no common girl and that was not exactly a good thing: it’d be much easier to get a cold or a sore throat or something like that.

She chilled over the thought that she might end up dead, silently laid in front of the lake (and that’s a lot literal). She couldn’t really breathe, just enough to keep her arms and legs in that same position with no pain.

They, on the other hand, were really talkative and jokative, looking for it and she knew, she knew where it was! "Right over there!", her mind kept screaming, as she felt her limbs start to colden. Was her skin looking grayish? Was the whole scene a little gray?

"Crap! Where’s my vision?", she thought, desperate now: no longer could she show them the remaining piece’s location. For a last thought, she heard a little ticking noise.

- Found it! Oh, poor girl, missing her nose! - he was laughing, for the record.

- Do you think she’ll die, breathless?

- She’s got her mouth! - she’s no common girl, damn stupid boy. He laughed high pitched laughs. The second one seemed unhappy.

- Just finish her, it’s been three days and it’s driving me insane.

And so did he complete the puzzle. And it was too late.
